Connect SimplyBook.me (appointment booking)
Let Noa find free times and book appointments during a call — turn on SimplyBook's API, paste your company login and API key into Telenoa and test the connection.
If your customers book through SimplyBook.me (for example a salon, clinic or therapist), you can connect it to Telenoa. Noa then finds free times and books the appointment on the phone while the customer is on the line. The customer is created in SimplyBook, or matched if they are already a client, from their name and phone number. Nothing else in SimplyBook changes. Only an administrator can set it up.
You find it under Forbindelser → SimplyBook.me ("Connections → SimplyBook.me") in the menu.
SimplyBook's API is a paid add-on (a "Custom Feature") and is not included in the free plan. Check simplybook.me/pricing to see which plan you need. It may be Premium. Telenoa can't connect without the API feature.
1. Turn on the API feature in SimplyBook
Enable the API
Sign in to SimplyBook.me as an administrator. Open Custom Features (formerly Plugins) in the menu, find API and turn it on.
Copy the key
Click Settings next to the API and copy the API key. You can also copy the API secret key. It's optional, but it lets Noa confirm bookings if you require payment or approval when people book.
Find your company login
Your company login is the first word of your SimplyBook address. If the address is mysalon.simplybook.me, the company login is mysalon.
2. Paste it into Telenoa
Under Forbindelser → SimplyBook.me, enter the company login, the API key and the API secret if you have it, then click Forbind ("Connect"). Telenoa checks them right away. If something is wrong, you get an error. Check the company login, copy the key again and make sure the API feature is turned on.
Telenoa does not store your SimplyBook password. We only use the API key, and it is stored encrypted.
3. Choose what Noa books
Under Book i ("Book in"), choose the service Noa should offer. If several staff members can provide the service, you can choose between:
- The service on its own: Noa books with the first staff member who has the time free.
- "Service hos Name" ("Service with Name"): Noa always books with that staff member.
4. Test the connection
Click Test forbindelsen ("Test the connection"). The test signs in, fetches your services and staff, and looks up free times for the next 14 days. No booking is created. If everything works, it says "Forbindelsen virker" ("The connection works").
What SimplyBook needs for bookings to work
- The service must be active and visible to customers. Noa can't see hidden services.
- At least one staff member (provider) must be able to provide the service and have working hours in the calendar.
- If your SimplyBook booking form requires an email, Noa asks for it before she books. Otherwise, a name and phone number are enough.
- If your booking form has required extra fields, SimplyBook may reject the booking. Noa then takes a message instead.
The API key and secret are private. Only paste them into Telenoa's SimplyBook card. If you think they've leaked, create new ones in SimplyBook under API → Settings and connect again.
